Pop star Sam Smith leads the charge with five nominations, followed closely by Ed Sheeran who is up for four awards. This is the 35th edition of the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop music awards.
This awards ceremony is their second time hosting, and their first since 2001. Award nominations were revealed on January 15, 2015. Tracey Emin became the fifth artist to style the BRITs statue. The 2015 BRITs will stream online for free worldwide on YouTube. Internet stars Dan Howell and Phil Lester will host the event.
The 35th edition of the music awards, will be the fifth time the show has taken place at The O2 in London. ITV will be exclusively broadcasting the event for the 23rd consecutive year, MasterCard is celebrating 17 years as headline sponsor of the Brit Awards. The awards will be broadcast in more than 100 territories across the country.
