Pinoy Pride 38: Philippines vs Mexico - is headlining the event, long-time light flyweight king & the longest-reigning Filipino boxing world champion WBO Donnie "Ahas" Nietes' (38-1-4) flyweight debut against Mexican former world champion Edgar Sosa (52-9-0) for the WBO Inter-Continental Flyweight Championship, live  at the StubHub Center in Carson, California, USA on September 24, 2016 (Manila time).

In the co-main event, unbeaten ALA Boxing sensation Mark "Magnifico" Magsayo puts his WBO International Featherweight Championship on the line against Mexico's Ruben Garcia. "King" Arthur Villanueva puts his newly-won WBO Asia Pacific Bantamweight Championship against Juan "El Peñita" Jimenez, in a featured bout.
