Malaysia's Masters Grand Prix Gold 2016 is the first grand prix's badminton tournament of the 2016 BWF Grand Prix and Grand Prix Gold, will take place @ the SPICE Indoor Stadium in Penang, Malaysia from January 19–24, 2016 with a total purse of $120,000. The Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold, began 2009, is the second level tournament held after Superseries.

This is aiming to be one in all the best crucial periods within the calendar in recent times with simply eight months for Rio and five months left for the badminton game players to qualify for the marquee event, it goes well not that each one players can have to be compelled to be at their best from the word go.

Dato' Lee Chong Wei a Malaysian Chinese professional badminton player will head the local challenge at the Malaysia Masters 2016. Chong Wei is in the 5th place,  Lin Dan of China @ 4th, Kento Momota of Japan @ 3rd, Jan O Jorgensen of Denmark @ 2nd while Chen Long of China is at the top of the ranking list. A total of 338 players from 28 countries, including Indonesia, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, United States, Hong Kong and India have confirmed their participation for the US$120,000 (RM516,000) GP Gold tournament at the SPICE Arena from Jan 19 to 24, 2016.
