Welcome to the 12th Southeast Asia Basketball Association Championship will be the qualifying tournament for the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup. It will also serve as a regional championship involving Southeast Asian basketball teams. It will be held from 12 to 18 May 2017 in the Philippines.
One of the best team from the South East Asia Basketball Championship 2017 will qualify for FIBA Asia Cup 2017 which will take place in Lebanon from 10-20 August. This time 7 teams will battle in a round-robin format and the eventual winner will go on to represent the sub-zone at Asia's flagship event this summer.
